Merindah Funnell is a twice-published illustrator, releasing books Dharawal Counting and Colouring in 2018 and Dharawal Words, Phrases and Activities in 2022 with sales totalling over 3000.

These books were created in collaboration with Jodi Edwards and Dharawal Elder Aunty Barb Simms. They are valuable resources for primary school children, educators and the wider community. A range of informative activities to enhance an understanding of Dharawal language and culture.

Two Girls from Amoonguna Exhibition Kit

This exhibition kit has been written by Merindah Funnell and Emma Hicks with FLENK Collective and produced in partnership with ACMI. This resource offers insight into the art practice of Sally M Nangala Mulda and Marlene Rubuntja; a guide to cultural safety and an Acknowledgement of Country; activities for students and teachers for use in the classroom or gallery to connect with the exhibition; and links for further reading and research

OCCURRENT AFFAIR by proppaNOW Education Kit

This education resource has been written by Merindah Funnell, Emma Hicks and Nicole Barakat for FLENK Collective and produced in partnership with Museums & Galleries of NSW and UQ Art Museum for the touring exhibition OCCURRENT AFFAIR. This exhibition, showcasing work by influential urban Aboriginal collective proppaNOW, was initially exhibited at UQ Art Museum in 2021 and is now touring across Australia.

Merindah’s educative knowledge and experience is deeply entwined with their creative practice, using art and creative strategies to engage people of diverse ages, backgrounds and experiences.

Merindah has worked as an educator in a variety of roles, their most recent role being the Lead Artist Educator, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Learning Programs at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
